Nearby Mevagissey, Cornwall is an attractive old town which was once the centre of Cornwall's Pilchard fishery, and still boasts a working harbour with a few dozen small fishing boats. In the narrow streets there are gift shops, craft workshops, galleries, cafes and pubs, not to mention several great fish restaurants and fish & chip shops!

Just outside of St Austell is the spectacular Eden Project. Educational charity, world-class visitor attraction, botanical garden, unique regeneration venture - the Eden Project is all of these things, and then some. It truly is a fantastic place well worth a visit.

Also nearby you can find the Lost Gardens of Heligan, one of the most mysterious estates in England. This award-winning garden restoration is already internationally acclaimed and promises a fascinating day out.

Near Helston you'll find the fabulous Flambards Experience. Described as one of the most popular tourist attractions in the South West of England, this is a theme park and fun-packed family day out with a difference!
